The Thermaltake Expo 2020 continues with product launches and showcases accompanied by livestreams on the Thermaltake YouTube channel. Day 2 brought us news of new Thermaltake memory kits and an all-in-one watercooler with a built-in memory waterblock. Now, for day 3, Thermaltake are focusing on watercooling with new Pacific watercooling products, TH series AIOs, and TOUGHFAN 12 radiator fans.

Thermaltake Pacific Watercooling Gear

Pacific PR32-D5 Plus Reservoir & Pump Combo

The PR32 D5 Plus pump and res combo is a plastic tube with a D5 pump at the bottom.

The Pacific PR32-D5 Plus Reservoir & Pump Combo is a high performance pump and res featuring a D5 pump. Maximum head pressure is specified as 15 feet (at zero flow), with maximum flow (at zero pressure) of 1135 litres per hour. Fittings are standard G1/4″, with outlet at the base by the pump and inlet and fill port both sited on the unique rotating top.

Thermaltake specify that this pump and res combo supports Windows 7, 8/8.1 and 10. This is likely in reference to the 12 high power addressable RGB LEDs and TT RGB Plus software.

Finally, brackets are included allowing this new pump and res combo to be mounted to fan or radiator to save space in a tighter build.

Pacific W7 Plus CPU Water Block

Thermaltake W7 plus water block. Flat and round with brushed metal around the edges of the top.

The Pacific W7 Plus CPU Water Block has a transparent upper cover design that allows users to show off their coolant while providing RGB illumination. A machined copper base has a mirror finish with nickel plating to resist corrosion. It features a built-in temperature sensor that works with TT RGB Plus software to provide coolant temperature. TT RGB Plus also controls the twelve high power addressable LEDs. The Pacific W7 Plus supports Intel and AMD universal brackets

Pacific MX1 Plus CPU Water Block

Thermaltake MX1 plus water block, in the shape of a tall (for a water block) cylinder.

Inspired by an All-in-One water block, the Pacific MX1 Plus CPU Water Block is taller than usual, which Thermaltake say gives a depth to the aRGB lighting. Just like the Pacific W7 Plus, a machined copper base has a mirror finish with nickel plating to resist corrosion. It features a built-in temperature sensor that works with TT RGB Plus software to provide coolant temperature. TT RGB Plus also controls the twelve high power addressable LEDs. The Pacific MX1 Plus also supports Intel and AMD universal brackets.

TH Series ARGB All-In-One Watercoolers

Thermaltake TH240 AIO. Pretty much the same as any AIO really.
This is the TH240 – subtract one fan and 120mm for the TH120, add one fan and 120mm for the TH360.

Thermaltake’s new TH series AIO watercoolers aim to be good quality at an affordable price. The TH120, TH240 and TH360 themselves are standard fare with the usual block housing a pump, copper coldplate and aluminium radiators sized from 120mm to 360mm.

Differentiating the TH series are Thermaltake’s high static pressure 1500rpm fans and addressable RGB lighting, which works with TT RGB Plus software and is compatible with motherboards across the RGB industry. Further differentiation comes from the Thermaltake logo on the block, which is also aRGB illuminated.

Thermaltake TOUGHFAN 12 High Pressure Radiator Fan

Thermaltake TOUGHFAN 12, with 9 thin blades. They look sharp. The frame is squareish with rubber anti-vibration corners.

The TOUGHFAN 12 120mm fan is a PWM controlled fan designed for a maximum operating speed of up to 2000 RPM. The highly raked blades are optimized for high static pressure while maintaining minimal noise. Thermaltake are touting a “2nd generation” hydraulic bearing and ultra-tight tip clearance, as well as a “reinforced-metal motor hub”.

Supposedly these fans are “cost effective”, which with a sticker price of £20 each means Thermaltake must think they’re very good. The max pressure on paper is 2.41mmH2O, with a max air flow of 58.35CFM. The noise level by spec, however, is just 22.3dBA. Theoretical specs can never tell the full story, and the large number of shallow blades look promising.

Thermaltake Pure and Pure Duo LED Radiator Fans

Thermaltake Pure Duo 120mm fans in white with aRGB LEDs. The frame is round with soft anti-vibration pads on the corners.
Pure Duo radiator fans come in packs of two, so Thermaltake sent us a picture of two of them.

The Pure Duo 12/14 ARGB Radiator Fans are also PWM controlled up to 1500rpm. Two independent aRGB rings with nine addressable LEDs provide eye candy, with seven prebaked lighting modes. Pure Duo fans can also synchronize with 5V aRGB capable motherboards from ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, and ASRock. Pure Duo fans are available with black or white frames, in 120mm or 140mm.

Thermaltake Pure A12 120mm fan with Green LEDs. The frame is round with soft anti-vibration pads on the corners.

The Pure A12/A14 Radiator Fans, on the other hand, have one ring available in four fixed colors: red, blue, green, and white. Both the Pure Duo 12/14 ARGB Radiator Fans and Pure A12/A14 Radiator Fans are designed with a hydraulic bearing. There’s also an anti-vibration mounting system, aiming for operation at the maximum speed of 1500 RPM with minimal noise.

Availability and Pricing

The Pacific PR32-D5 Plus Reservoir & Pump Combo is due this month, as are the Pacific W7 Plus and MX1 Plus CPU Water Blocks. Pricing is £199 for the PR32-D5 Plus Reservoir & Pump Combo, £109 for the W7 Plus waterblock, and £119 for the MX1 Plus waterblock.

The Thermaltake TH series all-in-one liquid coolers are available now on Amazon US. Over here in the UK they’re due soon with MSRP starting at £69 for the TH120, rising to £99 for the TH240 and £129 for the TH360.

Thermaltake TOUGHFAN 12 radiator fans are due in July at £20 each. This places it very much in the ‘premium’ category, close to Noctua IndustrialPPC fans.

The Pure Duo 12/14 ARGB Radiator Fans are due this month. Pricing is £39 for two of the 120mm Pure Duo 12 in either black or “Snow”. The 140mm variant in either colour commands £49 for two.
