The Recon packaging has a bit more info than the previously looked at accessories and rightly so. There is a bit more to say here and BitFenix want to make sure consumers know what they are getting.
On the front of the box we can see the bitFenix logo in the top left with the model name in the bottom right. Smack dab in the middle is a nice image of the Recon fan controller and towards the bottom left we can see the Recon can be internet connected for mobile devices.
One side of the box offers users a features list so they can make sure they know what they are getting themselves into and if the Recon is right for them.
On the bottom of the box are the technical specifications of the Recon. Again, so users can make sure this is what they need.
Inside the box aside from the Recon itself are a users guide, note letting us know where to download the software from as well as some screws and extra wiring to make sure consumers will have everything they need to get set up and using the Recon as easy as possible.
The front of the Recon features a touchscreen to control the device and a BitFenix SoftTouch Bezel giving the Recon a nice matte black finish.
On the back of the recon, or the part that should hopefully be hidden inside the case we can see the circuit board with all of the wires connected to it.
There is a 4-pin molex connector used to power the Recon and as previously mentioned there are connectors for up to 5x fans.
The Recon also comes equipped with 5x thermocouple sensors so users can monitor temparatures by their fans throughout their case.
One everything is connected and powered on we can see how easy it is to operate the Recon fan controller. There are Auto and Manual modes, +/- for fine tuning the fans when in manual mode, 1-5 so we can select the desired fans we want to control as well as a sound control so when using the recon it can be silent and also a power button.
[…] As mentioned, BitFenix is all about providing their customers with what they want and they do this in a number of ways. Not only do BitFenix consider customer feedback when designing new cases, they take into high regard comments on products they already have on the market. One of the many things they do is release extra accessories for their cases; these can come in the form of interchangeable front and side panels with or without windows, IO ports, and also releasing cases in a number of colours they feel will please the industry. Aside from the accessories they offer for individual cases, BitFenix also offers a great line of other accessories, such as a wide-range of fans, fan controllers, LED strips and extension cables that a lot of come in numerous colours as well to make sure there is something for everyone. For a closer look at some of the BitFenix accessories, please see me previous review on them HERE. […]
