Conclusion

Keyboards are one of the most essential pieces of equipment when it comes to using a PC, as not only can a bad one cause health problems down the line, but also decrease productivity.

What Func has delivered to us today is their first take on how a mechanical keyboard should look and perform. From before I had it out the box I was very eager to test out the KB-460 as I am a big believer in “less is more”. The Func KB-460 proved that this was indeed the case by delivering great performance, looks and at a reasonable price, and I say reasonable because it can be had for as low as £65 as of the end of this review, which frankly, is a bargain for a well designed and decent performing mechanical keyboard, with many premium features such as NKRO and full LED backlighting.

It was hard for me to actually discover any flaws other than the superficial ones, such as the soft coating being easy to mark. I can’t even complain about the high price, because at the moment it’s a bargain – although this could change. The KB-460, does exactly what it says on the tin, and then a little bit more. The added bonus of semi-decent software to record macros etc was the cherry on top of the cake.

Overall I have been very impressed with Func’s first foray into the mechanical keyboard world. The keyboard is well designed, with a great feel to it and nice red LED backlighting. The soft-touch coating I think feels great and the wrist-rest with removable clips is a good touch. At it’s current price of ~£65 it’s an absolute steal, and if you’re in a market for a new keyboard, then I would definitely recommend the KB-460. So, for these reasons, I’m happy to announce that I am awarding it with:

  • Performance
  • Design
  • Value
4.7

Summary

Great simple design, lots of features for the price.
