Conclusion

With anidees being a new company to the UK market. I was excited to be offered a sample to look at and with new company products you don’t always expect too much. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box and found all the little bits and bobs you expect to find in the most seasoned makers cases.

Performance wise, I’m happy to tell you it cools excellently. It moves a lot of air and quietly too. Fitting a 200mm fan on the front was a great choice, it moves air very quietly. The case is well constructed throughout and access to all sections of the case is clear and unobstructed. Fan noise isn’t silent on ‘slow’ fan setting but it’s not marketed at being so, however, it is quiet enough to call it quiet. On ‘high’ mode the fans are noticeably more louder, but it’s the 140mm fans that are noticeable.

Design wise, the ai7m from anidees is clean, neat and tidy. Some thought is needed regarding cable routing in the front and maybe the wasted space next to the hard drive cages, this could however, host water cooling pumps and reservoirs. Including 4 HDD cages is the sweet spot and a good choice. Perhaps adding a couple extra 2.5″ mounts somewhere would make a good addition for the next revision?

Touching more on the price, at £71 the ai7m from anidees is in the M-ATX sweet spot. Features like tool-less drive caddies, rubber grommets, fan controllers and 3 pre-installed fans seem, to me, to justify the price. Cheaper alternatives are available, but the ai7m has a well thought out design and understated look which will appeal to many.

If you are looking for a understated, clean and neat M-ATX and are interested in features like dual chamber construction to heat control then the ai7m from anidees should definitely be on your list.

awards-silver

  • Silver award – The ai7m is a solid silver award earner. A mix of design, performance and price gives this case a solid fight with other cases in the market. Trading blows with many of them in all three categories. Slight revisions needed but overall, the ai7m would look the part on any desk!

Huge thanks to anidees for the sample and I really look forward to seeing more new products from them in the not too distant future.
