SetupÂ
If you have ever used AirPlay before it is not all that hard to set up and the Loop is no exception. Just go through the standard procedure and you will be good to go.
Also worth noting is the new version is BlueTooth compatible and should be just as easy to set up if you are familiar with BlueTooth devices.
Audio QualityÂ
When first starting off using the Loop all is well, the voices and highs sound great and it seems to have quite the boom going on from the bass. After trying out a few different genres and getting to grips with the Loop I have to say the tweeters it has are where it shines. They are placed at across from each other and allow for a great amount of detail.
When it comes to the bass I have to say I was quite impressed for such a small and slim unit. This will of course be due to the passive radiator that is used inside the Loop. However bass alone is not quite enough to make the overall audio quality of the Loop to that of what it should be, especially for its £400 price tag.
When using the Loop at higher volumes there is a bit of distortion that one really would not expect to hear from a speaker of this type. This is of course more easily noticed through some genres of music than others but at the same time needs to be mentioned. While overall the sound quality of the Loop is quite good, it still comes up a bit short for me.
