[section_title title=”Conclusion”]Conclusion
The CM Storm Xornet is a budget mouse geared towards FPS gamer’s with a claw grip. Is it a worth purchase or have CM Storm gone too budget with the Xornet?
Recapping on the design and performance first, the design will take a bit of getting used to if you’re not a native claw gripper. Once you get used to the grip it is a surprisingly good mouse to use. The 2000 DPI Storm Tactical Optical Sensor will not let you down in terms of tracking, but if you are used to a higher DPI then it may take a bit of getting used to. Using a slower DPI has its pros and cons, the only real cons being the time it takes to get used to it – it may have even improved my accuracy just a tad.Â
When considering the price of the mouse, it is then that it becomes apparent it is a force to be reckoned with. Coming in just shy of £15 for an FPS Gaming mouse, say what? Yes! The price really is that cheap and don’t let that fool or worry you into thinking this mouse is not a worthy purchase because it is. It has an ergonomic design and a 5 million click rating, and performs as well as you could ask for. A true bargain in my opinion.
Overall the CM Storm Xornet is a top performer in its price range and if you are in the market for a budget gamin mouse then the Xornet is definitely worthy of a place on your comparison list.
I would like to thank Cooler Master for sending the Xornet in and look forward to seeing more from them in the future.
Summary
The CM Storm Xornet offers some nice features in a wallet friendly package. It features a 2000 DPI sensor and an ergonomic claw grip design aimed at FPS gamers. It’s performance held up well during testing and if you are in the market for a budget gaming mouse and don’t mind the claw grip then the Xornet is a serious contender.
