So, the Corsair Gaming H2100s have been through all the tests now, what are my lasting impressions?

Aesthetically Corsair is yet again onto a winner if you ask me, I’m a sucker for a clean look and the H2100s certainly deliver in that department. The yellow touches may be a deal breaker for some but personally I like them, at this point anything that isn’t black and red gets protest based praise from me.

The comfort of the headset is my main point of contention, the economical headband padding really lets the whole thing down, especially with the added weight of batteries and the fabric only ear pads just make the experience that little bit worse for me. As I said previously, this is by no means an uncomfortable headset but for this sort of money I expect a headset I can wear all day and the H2100s are not that.

Performance wise the H2100s are solid by any measure, the audio quality is rich yet balanced, the battery life is satisfactory and the wireless functionality fully lived up to my expectations. It really is a shame they are lacking in the padding department as if they were a bit more comfortable I daresay I might be able to find a home for them on my desk.

All things considered I think the H2100s are a great bit of kit, they’re just not quite as comfortable as I would like personally and the lack of pleather ear pads is always going to be something I will take the time to moan about. However, when you consider the amount of audio performance you are getting for your money and of course the solid wireless functionality you are still left with a very solid offering from Corsair, for £100 there’s really not anything better if you want a wireless headset.
