[section_title title=”Software”]Software

The MSI GK601 comes with a simple software package that allows you to record different macros and assign them to various keys. It also has the ability to save different profiles which can be switched between. These settings can be exported and imported allowing you to share your configurations. I’m not sure whether this would be used often, but it’s another option for the user. Overall it’s light and very easy to use – when it works that is. The software is slow to respond to some clicks, and some options just down work or drop down. This is fairly common with high end keyboards – great keyboard, poor software as it’s usually some off-the-shelf tailored program, where not much thought or testing has gone into it.
