[section_title title=”Software”]Software

Time for a look at the software.

The home screen of the software is dedicated to button assignment and as you can see all buttons are reprogrammable which is always good, the sub menus have a good amount of options such as Office short cuts and multimedia functions.

The next tab is all about macro management and whilst it’s not the most in depth macro suite I’ve seen it should do enough for most.

The advanced tab gives control over settings like polling rate, scroll speed and DPI stages. As you can see each DPI setting has a colour you can assign to it with full RGB control and this then changes the colour of the mouse lighting to indicate your DPI value when you use the DPI switches on the mouse, this is probably one of my favourite features of the whole mouse. From my favourite feature to my biggest gripe, there is no lift off adjustment which is a glaring omission and is quite disappointing considering that even the disaster that was the software on the Tesoro Gandiva had that feature.

Finally we have the lighting control screen which lets us change between various states of intensity and strobing. It’s a nice customisation feature though it would be nice to have the ability to say turn the scroll wheel off and leave the logo on for example.

So on the whole the software is pretty good I’d say, but the lack of lift off adjustment really is unforgivable. Lets move on and do some sensor testing!
