Ergonomics

The FORCE M63 is an ergonomic ambidextrous mouse that feels to be designed more so for users who have a claw-grip style. While it can of course be used with other grip types it doesn’t always feel quite right, especially when using a palm-grip; my little pinky was dragging about and made it a bit uncomfortable after a short period of time.

I am a fan of ambidextrous mice designed for claw grip users and when using the FORCE M63 as such it was smooth sailing though admittedly it did take a bit of getting used to as the top of the mouse is a bit thinner than that of what I am used to. The bottom of the mouse features a bit wider design and even has a bit of a rubber grip on the top to help it fit your palm a bit better, which it does nicely. Where the thumb and pinky fingers will rest almost reminds me of a manta ray in there design but the little extra bits do offer a good resting place for said fingers and it works well with the overall design of the FORCE M63.

Buttons

Considering the rest of what the FORCE M63 has to offer we wouldn’t expect to see any cheap switches on the inside and Gigabyte have not let us down, they have included Omron switches with a lifespan of up to 10 million clicks. Not only are the Omron switches durable, they also give a nice clicky feedback when pressed making sure there is no guesswork or missed opportunities if the button wasn’t pressed. The scroll wheel was right on point and one of the nice features is you can go into the Ghost software and actually set how many lines it will scroll at once, by default it should be set to 3 line but as mentioned can be changed to scroll a lot more lines at once if need be.

Tracking

The tracking on the FORCE M63 that comes out of the box is fairly decent. I didn’t really notice any prediction or acceleration on it but should these ever become an issue it is easy enough to open up the software and change a few things around. In terms of lift off the FORCE M63 faired quite well compared to most of the previous mice I have used as the lift off wasn’t that high, meaning that once the mouse is off the surface it is no longer tracking. While this may not be a big deal to everyone it is something that concerns a lot of people and can be noticed depending on your style of gameplay.
