Closer Look
Let’s get a proper look at the headset itself.
The headset has a rounded profile that works well with the ear cups. The band doesn’t look out of place with the size of the ear cups, in fact, it works nicely with the design. It is classic in its look and reminds me of old school headsets that I enjoyed using back in the stereo days.
The cushioned headband is extremely comfy, and it is one of the best features of the headsets design. I never felt discomfort whilst using which is one of the most important features.
The side of the headset shows the always visually pleasing Venom logo. This leads to the cup of the ear piece that shows the PlayStation logo which lights up in use. It’s a particularly nice feature.
The microphone is easily one of the best features of the headset. It is visually pleasing, adjustable, and can actually be removed during use.
Inside the left side of the headset, you’ll see the trademark information. It is tucked away nicely.
The ear cup itself is extremely comfortable and fits nicely over the ear. It is designed to make you feel the vibration during use, but still works well without this feature.
Here we can see the attached volume controller. It has the usual adjustments most decent game headsets have, both game and chat audio, with the added ability to adjust the vibration setting which is on the other side.
Connection wise, we have the usual audio connection for the back of your TV. The USB goes directly into the PlayStation port on the front of the console. The wires, when connected, don’t look messy and sit nicely with the design of the headset.
So now that we’ve seen what this nice bit of kit looks like, let’s move on to the performance of the headset.
